T. Nelson Mann


  • A founding member of Mann Conroy LLC, Nelson brings over 35 years of experience in real estate development and as outside general and special counsel for a wide variety of companies from family-owned enterprises to some of the region’s largest corporations. He has an established reputation for honesty and integrity in helping his clients achieve their objectives with creative strategies.
  • Nelson began his practice with the then 14-member Morrison firm and helped it grow to a national organization with approximately 400 attorneys. During his time with the firm he served on the Executive Committee, led its marketing team, and chaired a number of different practice groups.
  • Nelson focuses his practice on (i) growth oriented companies with creative and entrepreneurial values, (ii) human and animal health care, research and development, medical devices, genetics, and technological services, (iii) working with organizations involved with strategic and marketing planning for established companies seeking means to facilitate their growth, (iv) commercial and residential neighborhood and community redevelopment for both distressed and established properties and municipalities, (v) wineries, distilleries, manufacturers of wine and spirits, wine clubs, and related licensing agreements.
  • While serving as Chair of the GKCCC, Nelson led the formation of the Animal Health Corridor, comprised of the region’s leaders in the animal health and nutrition business. Through his work as President of the Historic West Bottoms, Brush Creek Enterprise Center the Arts Council and many other tax exempt organizations, he has developed an appreciation for the benefits a creative class can bring to the rejuvenation of a metropolitan community. In particular, he has extensive experience in working with tax exempt organizations to advance many aspects of community development.
